ESG Report 2023

The purpose of our ESG report is to describe BM Silo’s work and activities concerning making  a positive difference within environmental, social, and governance, also referred to as ESG.

The report provides insight into areas where we focus our efforts and presents a status on our goals and initiatives concerning social impact, sustainability, and accountability.

This report refers to the year 2023. The report is BM Silo’s second Impact report and therefor also the second systematic and holistic reporting of our work on sustainability and social responsibility.

During 2023 we have intensified our work with ESG initiatives, including building our data infra structure and collecting environmental data to join the UN Global Compact and Science Based  Targets initiative. On 1st January 2024 we were admitted to the UN Global Compact, and we  have collected data for our climate account, which is crucial for admission to the SBTi. These  steps really accentuate our ongoing commitment to strengthening our sustainability practices  and following global standards for responsible business.  

We have continued our active participation in social initiatives. We have worked  closely with the local public center of employment take part in company internships and school  internships.  

We have also hosted an event for students from the FGU School, school of trades, for a  discussion on internships and education opportunities. We have participated in network  meetings and contributed to getting more young people from the edge of the labor market  into employment. This has resulted in a number of job applicants, interviews and internships, which have led to actual employment in our production team. We have also helped students  from the FGU School to find jobs or educational opportunities. These initiatives reflect our  deep commitment to supporting and strengthening our communities and local communities.  

With this sustainability report, we aim to document our initiatives and create a systematic way  of measuring our efforts – all of which contribute to continuing to improve our ESG efforts  throughout the organization
